DONAVAN  R.  RILEY

Donavan R. Riley, age 80, of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, February 3, 2010 following an extended illness. Born July 26, 1929 in Darke County, OH, he was a son of the late Orville H. & Clara F. (Devilbliss) Riley. Growing up, he was one of 10 children who helped his parents farm in Preble, Darke and Montgomery Counties. He retired after 42 years with the Street and Maintenance Department of the City of Eaton. He also performed janitorial work in the Eaton area: was a member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren and enjoyed camping. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife Leanna (Cripe) Riley on September 24, 2007: brothers Ralph and Harold Riley: and sisters Glenna Jacobs and Lena Bradshaw.

Survived by daughters & sons-in-law Vaunda L. & Ben Winter of Eaton; Cindy M. & Richard Drees of Eaton; Lorna K. & Gary McMurray of Eaton; and Faith A. & Daniel Seibert, II of Huber Heights: 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren: brothers Warren Riley of Eaton; Emerson Riley of Ripley, TN; Larry Riley of Mt. Pelier, OH: sisters Thelma Lawson of Port Jefferson, OH; and Nancy Rodeffer of Eaton.

Friends may call on the family from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Monday, February 8, 2010 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Pastor Stan VanAusdal presiding. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.

WOODROW  JUNIOR  ASHLEY

Woodrow Junior Ashley, age 59, of Eaton, OH, passed away Friday evening, February 5, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton following an extended illness. Born October 28, 1950 in Jackson, KY, he was a son of the late Woodrow, Sr. & Lora (Campbell) Ashley. He had worked as a farm hand for a number of years, and was an avid fisherman who held several fishing lure patents. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers Ova and Cecil Ashley and sister Marie Roope.

Survived by brothers John Ashley of Tipp City, OH and Ora Ashley of West Milton, OH: sisters Dorothy Webb of Vandalia, OH; Ada Grubb of West Alexandria, OH; and Mary Jo Brannon of Eaton, OH: caregivers Jim Lipps, Wendy Cooper and Dalton Cooper of Eaton: numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM. The family requests memorial contributions to the family to help with expenses. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.

FOSTER  C.  "BUD"  APPLE

Foster C. "Bud" Apple, age 61, of Dayton, OH and formerly of Trotwood, OH, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010 following an extended illness. Born July 17, 1948, he was the son of the late Foster L. & Mildred (Hughes) Apple. He was a graduate of dixie High School in New Lebanon; was a life member of the NRA; had worked with the Bill Goodman Gun Shows; and was affectionately known as the "Chicken Man" at the Olive Road Flea Market in Trotwood. Survived by wife Judy L. (Sanders) Apple and other family members and a host of friends.

At the family's request, no services will be held. Arrangements by the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria.
