MICHAEL  M.  KNOLL

Michael M. Knoll, age 85, of Eaton, OH, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, May 8, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton following an extended illness. Born June 27, 1922 in Hastings, MN to the late Peter & Ann (Tandeski) Knoll. Mr. Knoll was a US Navy veteran of WW II serving as an Ordinanceman in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Operations. He retired after 9 years as a regional salesperson for Henkel Corporation of Detroit. A Charter member of the Wilshire Terrace Baptist Church of Euless, TX; an active member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren and former member of the Christian Life Center. Past President of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Texas School District from 1962 - 1965; former Scout Master for the Cub Scouts; former Troop Leader for the Boy Scouts and former Explorer Post Leader, all in Euless. He volunteered for the Preble County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and was a member of the Preble County Seniors on Scooters. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife Lena Helen Knoll on July 7, 1994 and by 7 brothers and sisters all form MN.

Survived by wife Linda (Limali) Knoll whom he married in 1995: sons Joseph Michael Knoll & wife Sally of West Alexandria, OH; Dave Knoll & wife Susan of Eaton: Steve Knoll of Atlanta, GA: and Tim Knoll & wife Cathy of Beavercreek, OH: grandchildren David, Amy, Andy, Lesley, Jocelyn, Adrienne and Ben: great grandchildren Nick and Tawny; Bree; Caleb, Sam, John and Henry; Lilly and Eli; Madelynne and Kennedy: and sister Dorothy Keppers of Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, May 12, 2008 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria. Pastor Stan VanAusdel presiding. Friends may call on the family from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Preble County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity - PO Box 492 - Eaton, OH - 45320. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria.
